Being one of Angelina Jolie’s children certainly has its perks. Sure, all moms are super cool, but does your mom take you to the Louvre on a Tuesday? Because that’s exactly what Jolie did this week with her six children, Maddox, 16; Zahara, 13; Pax, 14; Shiloh, 11; and twins Knox and Vivienne, 9.
According to the Daily Mail, the Hollywood A-lister looked incredibly chic as she strolled toward the entrance of the famed museum alongside her kids. There, she wore a black dress, matching black cape, sky-high heels, oversized sunglasses, and bright, fire engine red lipstick. Really, the perfect Parisian uniform. She also looked equally glamorous the day before while filming a perfume commercial for Guerlain in the city of lights.
“They’ve spent time today speaking and playing with children their own age who have been forced from their homes, whose family members have been killed or have disappeared,” Jolie told reporters about her daughters’ time at the camp, “who are struggling with trauma and illness, but who at the end of the day are just children, with the same hopes and rights as children in any other nation.”
In a speech outside the camp Jolie further explained the heartbreaking plight so many Syrians still face.
“After seven years of war, most Syrian refugees have exhausted any savings they had. The vast majority of them already live below the poverty line, on less than three dollars a day. Imagine what that would mean for your family,” Jolie said. “Here, it means families going without sufficient food; children unable to get medical treatment; young girls vulnerable to early marriage; and many Syrians facing their seventh winter without proper shelter.”
